The deposit and the full price
The deposit is 5% of the price stored in the database, rounded to the euro. The desk can change that percentage, and a car can carry another. The car’s page shows the figure that is charged. The server calculates it. The browser does not decide it. The full price can be paid on the same page. A car that is not Available has no buttons: use WhatsApp.
How it is paid
Stripe Checkout accepts cards. With the card, Apple Pay and Google Pay can appear when the phone and the Stripe account allow them. Bizum is offered only when the amount is between €1 and €5,000. Above €5,000, whether that is the deposit or the full price, Checkout can offer SEPA Direct Debit when the Stripe account has it switched on. SEPA Direct Debit is not instant: the car is held as reserved while the bank confirms the debit, and if it does not complete, the hold is released.
What happens to the car
When Stripe confirms a deposit, the car is marked Reserved. When it confirms payment of the full price, the car is marked Sold. Stripe emails the receipt. Coming back to this website is not, by itself, proof that the payment has cleared.
Refunds
The deposit and payment of the full price follow the same rule.
If the showroom cannot complete the sale — because the car is no longer available, or because EUROPAPARTS CONTINENTAL S.L. cancels the transaction — everything paid toward that car is refunded, whether that was the deposit or the full price.
If you change your mind, write to ventas@epcmotors.eu before the car is handed over. The sum paid is refunded, unless a signed order for that specific car says otherwise.
The refund is made through Stripe, back to the same payment method when the bank allows it. The timing is set by Stripe and your bank.
Nothing above removes a right of withdrawal, or any other remedy, that Spanish consumer law gives you.
Why Stripe
The payment travels encrypted to Stripe. Stripe is certified PCI-DSS Level 1, the highest level of the card-industry standard. EPC Motors does not see the card number, does not store it, and does not write it into its database. Stripe sends a secure receipt to the email you give.
